Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

1. Many of you probably don't know the origin of my DA username. Yukihyo means snow leopard in japanese and (SURPRISE) it is my favorite animal,ever!

2. I practically never wear make-up! Natural beauty baby!

3. Once I bought a kit kat that had no waffle inside it and this is just one of MANY examples of how generally ''lucky'' I am in life.

4. I somewhat dislike seagulls. They are super noisy and annoying. Pretty much wherever I lived there were seagulls.../CHOKES

5. I dream of being able to live off my art. Maybe as a storyboard artist or illustrator?

6. I can't say that I'm good at cooking or baking, but I do make a damn good apple and cinnamon pie. Trust me.

7. My mom was russian and my dad was from Egypt. When people look at me they tend to label me as someone from France of Spain OTL

8. One of my favorite fairytales has always been ''Bluebeard.'' Nothing like reading about an eccentric man with a blue beard who's hobby is to chop up women who just can't let locked doors be.

9. I have an obsession with TV series. Series that I'm watching/re-watching include Supernatural/Sherlock/The Vampire Diaries/ Game of Thrones/ Teen Wolf/ Secret Circle/House/ Desperate Housewives. Right now I'm thinking I should start watching Doctor Who.

10. I sleep with my plushies. I have them all neatly organized so that they surround me when I sleep. Makes me feel safe and loved
